Margaret was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. Born in Manchester, she spent her life bringing warmth and laughter to everyone she met. A passionate gardener, an excellent cook, and a woman who always had time for a cup of tea and a chat.

Margaret was the kindest person I ever knew. She welcomed me into the street when we moved in twenty years ago and we became the best of friends. I will miss our Wednesday morning coffees more than words can say. Rest peacefully, dear Margaret.

Nan, you were the absolute heart of our family. Every Sunday roast, every birthday, every Christmas — you made them all special. The grandkids are drawing pictures for you and we've put them on the fridge, just like you always did with ours. We love you so much.

· Margaret's GP 11 April 2026
Margaret was one of those rare patients who always brightened the surgery with her smile and her stories. She faced her illness with remarkable dignity and grace. It was a privilege to have known her. My sincere condolences to the family.

· Former piano student 11 April 2026
Mrs Thompson taught me piano when I was seven years old. She had infinite patience and always had custard creams ready for after the lesson. I'm now a music teacher myself and I think of her every time a child plays their first scale. Thank you for everything, Margaret.

Mum, I don't really have the words yet. You were everything to us. Dad would have been so proud of how you carried on after he went. I hope you're together again now, arguing about whose turn it is to make the tea. We love you always.
